Our center aims to developing educational programs and digital materials that enable students to effectively utilize Artificial Intelligence platforms for writing purposes while adhering to responsible and ethical practices. Our aim is to promote the integration of innovation and integrity in their academic endeavors.

AI Policy

WASC has an AI policy that is based on a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of morality, academic honesty, and responsible technology use. As a school committed to promoting intellectual development and excellence, we are aware of the revolutionary potential of AI tools in the fields of academic writing and research. We stress that although AI can improve education and research, its application needs to be morally and sensibly done.

Our goal is to achieve academic excellence, and to that end, we support and enhance human-driven research and writing endeavors with the responsible application of AI tools. This involves a dedication to guaranteeing that all work generated with the aid of artificial intelligence tools conforms to the standards of academic integrity. Any kind of plagiarism is strictly forbidden, and all academic work needs to be the product of sincere thought and properly referenced.

We also stress how crucial it is that students maintain ownership of their work. While AI tools can help with idea generation, writing, and research, students ultimately bear the responsibility for all academic work, including essays, research papers, and assignments. Rather than seeing AI as a replacement for critical thinking, analysis, and creativity, we urge students to see it as a tool to improve their learning and skills.

We offer direction and instruction on the proper application of AI tools in the spirit of openness and moral use of technology, making sure that students are aware of the advantages and disadvantages of these tools. At our center, we continuously educate students about the ethical implications of using AI in their academic work, and we cultivate an environment where ethical considerations are of utmost importance.

Our goal with this AI policy is to enable students to use AI tools responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with academic integrity standards. We think AI can be a potent ally in advancing learning and research endeavors when used ethically and in conjunction with a solid foundation of academic skills. This can help our students succeed as responsible, ethical scholars and grow as individuals.
